"I enjoy the family atmosphere we have among co-residents and faculty. Our faculty provides a supportive and safe learning environment. We also have a good work-life balance to be able to enjoy time with our families while also becoming competent physicians.”

"From student to resident to attending, this learning environment is supportive in finding ways to help each other succeed. I could not have found a program that is a better fit for my learning style. The residents in the program get along well, and we enjoy getting together outside of work. My favorite thing about Tahlequah is that it is a city with a small-town vibe. It is within an hour of most things that I would need from a larger city, and I am still able to live in a more rural area.”

"I wanted a program that valued work-life balance, while still preparing residents to be competent attendings when they graduate. The program invests in its residents – I have already completed trainings in IUD placement, Nexplanon insertion, migraine Botox injections, and POCUS (we each get our own POCUS probe to keep). I enjoy working with every one of my attendings, spending time with co-residents outside of the clinic and hospital, and still have time and energy to spend with my family each night when I go home.”
